During my recent stay at Hotel 55 in Jakarta, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel’s balance of comfort and affordability. The air-conditioned junior suite was impressively spacious, boasting crisp white linens and a well-maintained bathroom—perfect for my family of three. The staff made a remarkable impression; everyone was friendly and eager to assist, particularly with car hire services which came in handy as we navigated the bustling city. Breakfast, while a delightful riddle of limited options, did offer the essentials—espresso to kickstart our day and basic fare to satisfy our appetites. Although the buffet could benefit from a bit more variety, you’ll never go thirsty with an endless supply of coffee or tea. For foodies like myself, the nearby street markets were a fantastic find, providing vibrant tastes of local street food. Accessibility to shopping at Mangga Dua made our outings easy and enjoyable, significantly enhancing our stay. Hotel 55 exceeded my expectations for value, making it a hotel I would revisit, especially for those travelling on a budget like my family.
